This week Artist “lost” the elimination challenge because his dog, Teddy, was the last dog out of four to be adopted. Once again, Reality TV has skewed my idea of a challenge and a challenge winner. The final four had to select a dog to groom at the Lange Foundation. Out of four dogs, one dog, Teddy, was an especially painful case. Teddy is a pure bread Shih tsu who had been rescued from a puppy mill along with his mate, Gertrude. Teddy had never been groomed and his coat was so matted, every time Teddy moved, he pulled fur off of his skin. Kathleen was the first one to choose since she she won the last challenge. Although her “heart went out to Teddy,” she picked Melody, a young sheepdog mix because “if you want to win, pass on that dog [Teddy].” It’s easy to pick on Kathleen–she is ambitious, abrasive, and self-serving; however, I can say with almost 100% certainty that Jonathan and Jorge would have passed on poor Teddy as well. Artist was the second in line and had no problems going straight over to Teddy because he felt it was the right thing to do. Artist set aside the whole competition, “to make a difference, to change his life.” Weather he won or not, what mattered to Artist was that “Teddy would be groomed for the first time in his life.” As expected, no one came in and picked Teddy. I want to believe that the producers realized that if they sent Artist home, fans would lose interest in this show. Presumably, most of us who watch Groomer Has It love dogs, and keeping Artist around for the right reasons showed that Groomer Has It can showcase more than dog grooming. Charity oriented programming on Realty TV give this genre credibility, and lessens its freak-show reputation. Teddy did get adopted four months after this episode was taped by Christopher and Jacklyn Brooks and their 12 year old autistic son, C.J. It’s nice when a show like Groomer Has It can be a means to a happy ending.

Searches for Nick and Mariah’s tattoos have led viewers to my blog, and I hope you all were not disappointed. Thanks to you, this post has a record of 935 views so far. Also popular were searches for Bear Grylls (Sorry, I couldn’t find the diarrhea video), Yorkshire Terrier aka “Yorkie” puppy cuts, and of course, there are those of you who are interested in spandex.
1) I’m looking for Mariah’s & Nick’s tattoos. Here’s a picture of Nick and Mariah’s tattoos from a comprehensive site vanashingtattoo.com. “Nick Cannon” is inked as the body of a butterfly tattoo on the small of her back. Incorporating Nick in a butterfly is meaningful symbol for Mariah compared to the “Mrs. Cannon” or “MC” tattoos rumored to have been inked on one of her butt cheeks.
2) Are their any pictures of tattoos for married couples? Check out tattoojohnny’s designs for ideas.
3) Is Bear Grylls a model? Bear reveals more about himself on his You Tube channel. If you go there, you can send him a message. I don’t think Bear is moonlighting as a model, but you can buy a Bear Grylls Rocks T- shirt.
4) I want to know more about Spandex. Click here to learn all about this versatile fabric, and here to purchase some for yourself.
5) Do you have any pictures of Yorkie puppy cuts?

I can’t stop laughing at The O’ Reilly dance remix. (Warning: Bill O’ Reilly says some form of the F word about 43 times) O’ Reilly should know that any “blooper,” especially one with swear words in it, will be remixed and posted on the net long after the original becomes mundane. O’ Reilly’s outburst stemmed from the fact he has not kept up with the times; he was embarrassed that he didn’t know what “play us out” meant when he read it on the TelePrompter. The stage manager (the voice counting “and 5,4,3,2,…”) just wanted to finish the segment, and kept his cool when O’ Reilly started acting up. O’ Reilly’s on-the-spot change was almost archaic. Who “cuts albums” these days? (There is still a huge record collection in our basement, but the turntable has been broken for years) See the entire piece of footage on You Tube where even Howard Stern was impressed with they guy O’ Reilly was yelling at.
Comedian Chelsea Handler spoofed the video last night on Chelsea Lately. In the clip, Chelsea takes it a step forward by ripping the shirt off one round-table guest revealing his red bra, pulling a wig off writer Heather Mc Donald, and shooting her assistant, Chuy, with a bow and arrow.
On the air, O’ Reilly appears more on-edge than edgy, like he’s sleep-deprived and has taken a few too many No Doz. His delivery is often sensationalistic like that of Dr. Phil, so here is a video that puts these two men’s sound bytes against each other.O’ Reilly vs. Dr. Phil
O’ Reilly should take a lesson from Bret Michaels, who thought the Saturday Night Live parody of his show, Rock of Love II, was hilarious.
